North West Group Daytime Meeting

Daytime Meeting to be held in the Education Centre at the Tasmanian Arboretum
Guest speakers will be Steve Paterson and possibly his wife Ann.
They are involved with the Big Pot Nursery at Melrose.
They will talk about their interest in growing Australian Natives.
Bring your own lunch and for those interested there
will be a walk through the Arboretum grounds afterwards.

Meet so we can start the walk at 10.30am. Parking is inside the Deloraine caravan park off West Parade.

Society AGM & Council Meeting

Please join us for the Society’s Annual General Meeting which is being held at the Windsor Park Community Complex

Hosted by the Northern group, the meeting will commence at 10.30am.

This is an opportunity:

  • To vote in the Annual General Meeting

  • To see your council in action

  • Lunch will be provided.

  • Explore the native gardens of Windsor Park, visit the Northern Groups
    nursery and hear Mark Wapstra talk on the subject “My Favourite Plants”.

All events will begin and end at the Sheffield Uniting Church Hall, Corner Main & Henry Streets, which will include the Society’s Annual Dinner

Day Meeting at the Arboretum Education Centre

Day Meeting at the Arboretum Education Centre, arrive 10am for 10.30am start. Apart fro9m the short business proceedings there will be 2 members presentations.

President Riitta will talk about a recent stay in Cornwall Uk, visiting the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.

John T will talk about ‘The Big Freeze’. Frozen Meander Falls and frozen Highland Lakes from Higgs track including Lake Weston, Lucy Long and Lady Lake.

BYO hot drink and lunch. Possibility of a walk around the Arboretum afterwards.
