Size: 2-8 m H, 1-5 m W.
 Leaves: 1–2.5 cm long, tips round or bluntly pointed, oblong, grey-green; 
 Flowers: White, about 2 cm in diameter, with 5 petals. Solitary or in groups of two or three.
 Flowering Time: Spring
 Fruit: Leathery capsule, dark red at first then brown, hemispherical, often silky hairy, to 6 mm in diameter
Habitat/distribution: Wet peaty heaths
Where to See: Freycinet Peninsula, Tasman Peninsula, West Coast 
Other notes: A hardy shrub for moist spots. Suitable for hedging or screening. Propagation from cuttings or seed.
