    Botanical Name:  Podocarpus lawrencei

 Size:  0.5-2m (H) x 2-3m (W)\
Leaves:  Crowded, rigid, linear-oblong, 6-15mm long, green to blue-green upper surface, paler undersurface with a prominent central vein.
 Flowers:  Cones – male and female. 
 Flowering Time:  Summer, initially inconspicuous.
 Fruit:  Bright red, succulent, berry-like structure, above which is attached a hard green seed.
Habitat/distribution: Often a pioneer on rocky scree slopes over 10000m.  Also Vic,  NSW and ACT.
Where to See:  Exposed sites over 1000m and at lower altitude in north-east Tas where it grows among boulders in riverbeds. 
Other notes: A spreading pine with linear leaves. Various forms exist from very blue to intense green leaf forms, prostrate to upright.
