Northern Group - Native Garden

Tasmanian Native Plant Garden at Heritage Forest, Mowbray

Members meet once a month for a pleasant social morning working together to keep our native garden looking lovely for the public and our own enjoyment. A morning of weeding, pruning and twice yearly new plantings allow the garden to be a showcase for how native Tasmanian plants can make a beautiful and ecologically sustainable urban garden.

Working Bees are held at the Tasmanian Native Garden at Heritage Forest, off Caswell Street, Mowbray on the fourth Tuesday in each month from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. followed by a friendly cuppa and cake.

Visitors and members are always welcome to participate in an activity which is healthy exercise and educational about growing and caring for native plants.

Information signs were unveiled for the garden’s 10th anniversary in 2015 with financial support from Natural Resources Management North and our partners, the City of Launceston.
