Northern Group - Propagation

Native Plants Nursery at Windsor Community Precinct

Propagation and sale of plants is the activity by which our Northern Group gains revenue to enable us to support the nursery, guest speakers and other administrative costs. The surplus is donated to organisations whose objectives reflect those of our Society.

Propagation sessions are held at our nursery at the Windsor Community Precinct in Riverside on the first Saturday in each month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Visitors and members are always welcome to participate in a very pleasant afternoon which is both instructional and educational about propagating and growing native plants. We conclude with afternoon tea.

Plants sales to the public are held each autumn and spring at Max Fry Hall, 60 Gorge Road, Trevallyn. This is becoming increasingly popular due to the quality and diversity of our native plants.

Propagation is a popular Northern Group activity where members learn new skills about growing Australian natives including those endemic to Tasmania while enjoying the company of like-minded people.

Plant sales at Max Fry Memorial Hall offer a diverse range of affordable native plants.
